We are planning to re-open in time for Easter 2021
If we have to go back into lockdown at any point in the future and we are forced to close the site, any monies paid for bookings which will be affected will simply be carried forward to stays later in the year or the following year, whenever is convenient for you, so you won't lose any money.
Also, we highly recommend taking out travel insurance which will cover you if you have to cancel your holiday at short notice if you or someone else who is travelling with you gets Covid-19. Lots of insurers are now offering this cover as part of their standard travel insurance or it can be added onto existing policies relatively easily.
We would like to reassure everyone that the safety of our guests and staff is our top priority so we have conducted a Covid-19 risk assessment of our business and will be putting in place the following measures.
Our site has been designed in such a way as to give guests a real sense of space and privacy. There is a lawn area out the front of each tent with a fire pit and outdoor seating and every tent is approached by its own pathway from the main track so no one needs to pass directly in front of another tent. This layout makes social distancing extremely easy. We ask all of our guests to please work with us on this and adhere to social distancing at all times on our site and during any visits to the surrounding area. Signs will be placed around the site to remind guests to remain at least 2m from other guests if passing in the car park area or on the main track.
There are no shared toilet/washing facilities on site as each tent has an internal kitchen and bathroom with 24hr hot water.
On check in I will happily come down to greet guests as usual but will remain at a safe distance to answer any questions. Full instructions for any appliances etc will be left inside the tent. If you would rather have a self check in with no contact that is also completely fine just let me know in advance.
This photo shows the spacing bewteen two of the tents and the private lawn area.
To reduce the risk of cross contamination the following cleaning measures will be put in place:
All hard surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between stays.
All bedding will be washed at a high temperature with laundry disinfectant and outdoor line dried.
Disinfectant aerosol spray will be used on curtains and rugs.
Cleaning staff will wear a new set of disposable gloves and apron for every tent.
Other touch points such as door handles, chair armrests, light switches etc will also be disinfected between stays.
All doors and windows will be kept open during changeovers.
The changeover time will be increased by 1 hour to allow for the extra cleaning required so check ins will be from 3.30pm and check outs at 10.30am.
Guests will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands particularly when returning to the tent after being out.
Antibacterial soap and hand sanitiser will be provided in each tent.
Finally, all guests will be asked before their arrival, to confirm that they are not displaying any symptoms of Covid 19.
